Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with a focus on building and enhancing a training and scheduling platform for internal users while increasing visibility and reporting insights for leadership. The engineer will develop and maintain the application by writing and debugging code in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Angular within a constrained ServiceNow-hosted environment. Responsibilities include querying and managing data in relational databases, building and maintaining REST API integrations, and supporting the movement of data into a data lake. The role also involves close collaboration with product managers and senior engineers, participation in Agile ceremonies, and gathering feedback directly from end users to continuously improve the platform. A strong emphasis is placed on driving UI enhancements, reporting capabilities, and overall system performance, with a potential long-term goal of migrating the platform off ServiceNow.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
Angular 12 (required) + exposure to newer Angular versions
Experience with relational databases
Hands-on experience with REST APIs (build/consume)
Strong GitHub/version control usage
Proven problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and end users
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in constrained platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc.)
UI performance optimization experience
Exposure to data movement / data lake concepts
Background supporting internal tools or enterprise applications
