Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join our Program Management team in our Arlington, VA office. This role involves schedule analysis and review with regular client engagement providing schedule input for executive reports on a full-time program. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be technically competent in Primavera P6, and have the ability to manage and convey complex scheduling information effectively. This is a Hybrid position.



This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:



Conduct regular field walks (minimum weekly) to aid the schedule review deliverables.

Provide contemporaneous schedule analysis, identifies and investigates project schedule variances and provides regular client advisement.

Identification and monitoring of key performance metrics to assist in assessing and reporting the health of the project.

Regularly review critical paths, perform what-if analysis, and identify schedule risks.

Develop weekly schedule reports comparing plan vs. actual performance.

Lead monthly schedule reviews, Time Impact Analysis, and third-party schedule reviews.

Schedule Progress validation during GC payment application review.

Provide schedule input for executive reports, principal meetings, and Architect of the Capitol briefings.

Facilitate monthly schedule review conferences and TIA review meetings.

Participate in weekly schedule workshop calls.

Prepare timelines, stakeholder schedules, and respond to ad-hoc requests.

Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.

Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.

Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.

Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology. Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.

Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.

Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements:



BA/BS in Engineering or Construction Management + 5 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Prior field experience on construction projects

Experience with Primavera P6 Software

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:



PMP Certification

PSP Certification

Federal Project experience

Experience in developing construction cost estimates and risk analysis
