Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Python Financial Systems Consultant to support a financial services client building a custom, in‑house loan re‑amortization and financial calculation engine. This role focuses on modernizing existing financial models and delivering accurate, scalable backend services that handle complex loan recalculations, retroactive adjustments, and monetary events. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders while owning the technical design and implementation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of professional Python development experience
• Experience building calculation engines
• Strong understanding of loan amortization, recasting/ re-amortization, interest calculations, and payment logic
• Backend development experience in API-driven environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with API gateways
• Experience replacing or modernizing Excel-based financial tools
• Strong unit testing practices for financial logic
