Our Chemical Manufacturing client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced I&C Technician to join their dynamic team.
As an Instrumentation and Controls Electrician, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other innovative people to maintain, repair, and improve critical production equipment. In this role, you will:
• Keep production, support equipment and site utilities operational as well as support building/facilities work.
o Identify and troubleshoot issues pertaining to instrumentation, SCADA systems and other control equipment.
o Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical systems up to 480 VAC, including motor control centers, transformers, panelboards, etc. and identify opportunities for improvement
o Provide electrical/instrumentation expertise and guidance to project teams for plant improvements as necessary.
o Use hand tools and soldering irons on small circuitry and electronic parts.
o Calibrate and test instruments and control systems to ensure proper function.
o Prepare and cleanup work area
o Assist in jobsite set-up, maintenance, repairs and return to operations activities
• Fabricate, Install, wire, program and test new electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Work with site automation and process control engineer and maintenance team members to improve manufacturing equipment and system performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using drawings, equipment manuals and internet resources while utilizing an advanced skill set in most of the following areas: pneumatics, PLCs, HMIs, machinery, hydraulics, instrumentation and electrical.
• Participate in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position, including high-risk activities.
• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations, wear PPE as required per procedures.
• Enter time confirmation against maintenance work orders along with detailed notes.
• Complete and file all required documentation described in work order and job plans.
• Use RCFA methodology to resolve issues while receiving general instruction on assigned tasks.
• Work with maintenance supervisor to prioritize emergency work or pull work forward as time allows.
• Be included in on-call rotation to provide off-hours emergency support.

Required Skills & Experience
• Possess a High School Diploma/GED
• Six (6) years’ experience working with electrical systems, instrumentation and controls in industrial manufacturing environments
• Current Delaware Journeyman Electrician’s License with interest in pursuing Delaware Master Electrician License.
