Job Description
Perform construction inspections/testing for building construction projects, observe contractor's conformance to the plans and specifications, and field reporting.

· Geotechnical inspections and testing during construction, including soil density testing using a nuclear density gauge, earthwork, asses unsuitable soil conditions, foundations, subgrade review, concrete testing, rebar inspections, pre-slab inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel bolted and welded connection inspections, cold-formed steel inspections, and road construction inspection and testing.
· Preparation of field reports.
· Geotechnical laboratory testing (concrete and soil) per ASTMs.
· Responsible for driving to and from work sites from office or home.
· Other duties assigned by Office Manager

Required Skills & Experience
· Minimum education of a High School diploma or GED
· 2 or more years of relevant experience in geotechnical inspections and testing during construction, including soil density testing using a nuclear density gauge, earthwork, undercutting of unsuitable soils, foundations, subgrade review, concrete testing, rebar inspections, pre-slab inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel bolted and welded connection inspections, cold-formed steel inspections, and road construction inspection and testing.
· Geotechnical laboratory testing (soil and concrete), ACI certification for concrete testing, or able to obtain soon after employment.
· Proficient in preparing field reports.
Must have valid and current driver's license..
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Nuclear Gauge Safety Training Certification, or able to obtain soon after employment.
