Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CMM Programmer with a strong background in Modus CMM software to support dimensional inspection and quality assurance activities across multiple CMM platforms. This role will focus heavily on developing, optimizing, and maintaining Modus programs to support production, process validation, and machine feedback/offsets. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working in a manufacturing environment, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

-Develop, program, and maintain CMM inspection programs using Modus software

-Create new inspection programs for production, first article, and process capability studies

-Support multiple CMM platforms and inspection equipment (including in‑process and post‑process inspection)

-Interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and apply it accurately within Modus programs

-Work from CAD models, MBD datasets, and 2D engineering drawings

-Optimize inspection routines for cycle time, repeatability, and measurement accuracy

-Support machine feedback loops, including providing dimensional data for machine offsets where applicable

-Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime

-Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve dimensional issues

-Assist with equipment validation, testing, and on‑site troubleshooting when required

-Document inspection methods, results, and program changes per quality standards

Required Skills & Experience

-Four years of college (technical preferred). Bachelor of Science OR

-Minimum three-year job-related work experience and technical training on CMM Programming will be consdiered in lieu of education.

-Strong background in Quality Systems ISO requirements, Blueprint reading IAW ANSI y14.5.

-GD&T, SPC Metrology, Auditing and Supplier Management

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Certified Quality Engineer/Auditor Preferred (ASQC).
