Financial Project Manager

Insight Global is looking for a Financial Project Manager to sit remotely working eastern hours.
The Project Manager will be supports project delivery with a strong focus on financial management, reporting, and governance, serving as a bridge between a Financial Analyst and a Project Manager without full ownership of the project. This role is responsible for managing project financials, including budget development, cost categorization, financial tracking, and forecasting, as well as handling project change requests, project approvals, and project change initiatives. The Project Analyst generates regular project status and financial reports for leadership and steering committees, provides variance analysis, and supports overall project execution. They work closely with Scrum Masters and Financial Analysts to build and maintain budgets, support Agile delivery reporting, and ensure accurate, timely financial and project insights are delivered to stakeholders.

• Strong experience managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
• Proven ability to create and maintain project budgets and break costs into defined cost categories
• Hands-on experience with project reporting, including status reports and leadership/steering committee updates
• Experience managing project change documentation (PCRs, PCIs, PAFs)
• Ability to provide financial variance analysis and track spend against budget
• Experience working closely with Scrum Masters and Financial Analysts in an Agile environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial and project data to senior stakeholders
