Job Description

A company that develops high-energy laser systems for the Department of Defense is looking for a Program Controls Analyst to support government-funded programs. This person will partner closely with engineering and program teams to manage schedules, budgets, and project performance throughout the development lifecycle.
The primary responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules in Microsoft Project
- Tracking program cost, schedule, variances, and performance metrics
Preparing ETC and EAC forecasts
- Managing BOM data and
- Presenting schedule and budget updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) activities
- Working with engineering teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and keep projects on track
- Building strong partnerships with Program Managers

This person will play a key role in forecasting schedule and cost impacts, maintaining accurate project data, and providing visibility into program health and performance.
The ideal candidate has experience with Microsoft Project, project controls, cost and schedule analysis, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Dynamics 365 and GitLab is highly preferred, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is between $100,000-$140,000, but compensation details will be based on previous work experience, hard and soft skills, and interview outcomes. This role will required a 5 days/week in-office schedule in the company's Longmont, CO office to experience the team's collaborative culture, and build relationships with peers and project teams.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in a Project Controls or similar role
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project
Expert Excel skills
Ability to create and present high level reporting to customers and executives
Experience managing project timelines and budgets for government contracts.
