Job Description

A leading defense and space technology client is hiring a Space Systems Verification Lead to lead the System Verification Department in Englewood, CO, ensuring the successful manufacture and verification of developed space systems and their associated ground and launch systems. Day-to-day, this person will supervise the verification department, overseeing daily activities, planning, and the development and execution of system verification artifacts across multiple programs. They'll ensure system and segment-level V&V plans meet program Statement of Work, CDRLs, and requirements, while supporting the definition of verification architecture, tools, and support equipment required for system-level verification. This person will support the development of system and segment verification scenarios to ensure full design verification, and will engage with customers and mission partners on engineering mission architecture and analysis products that shape the verification effort from the mission level down through lower levels of abstraction. As a hands-on technical leader, they'll actively step in as either a team lead or individual contributor to address challenges and keep programs on track. On the people-management side, they'll coordinate and manage verification resources to ensure the right skill mix is staffed across programs, provide mentorship and direction, conduct performance evaluations, deliver regular feedback, and build development plans for direct reports. They'll also support preparation, review, and approval of cost and resource estimates for proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and drive continuous improvement in verification processes and capabilities to enhance efficiency and reusability. Additional opportunities will arise to support internal R&D and new business pursuits as the program portfolio grows. This position will be on-site in Englewood, Colorado and is offering a base salary of $105,890-$189,545k based on years of experience. If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
