Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager (MEP) to lead the delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and mission-critical systems for large-scale infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing MEP execution from construction through commissioning and turnover, ensuring contractor accountability, schedule adherence, quality standards, safety performance, and successful systems integration. The Senior Construction Manager will collaborate closely with project leadership, design teams, contractors, commissioning agents, and operations teams to drive project success.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex MEP systems on large-scale construction projects, including electrical distribution, backup power systems, cooling infrastructure, building controls, fire protection, and mission-critical environments. This individual will provide technical leadership, oversee commissioning activities, manage budgets and change orders, and mentor construction team members while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, -Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
-12+ years of construction management experience focused on MEP systems delivery for large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or infrastructure projects.
-Extensive experience managing electrical distribution systems, standby/emergency power generation, mechanical cooling systems, plumbing systems, building controls, and other critical infrastructure.
-Proven track record leading MEP construction, contractor performance, commissioning activities, and project turnover on complex projects.
-Strong experience reviewing technical submittals, RFIs, change orders, and field modifications.
-Experience managing MEP project budgets, forecasting, procurement activities, and cost controls.
-Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and project scheduling software.
-Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience leading construction teams and coordinating multiple project workstreams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience delivering data center, mission-critical, high-tech manufacturing, healthcare, or other highly complex infrastructure facilities.
-Strong understanding of multi-level commissioning processes, systems testing, and operational turnover requirements.
-Experience managing owner-furnished or long-lead equipment procurement, delivery, and installation.
-Knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, generators, UPS systems, cooling plants, and integrated building automation systems.
-Experience coordinating cross-functional construction teams across structural, architectural, and infrastructure disciplines.
-Background supporting fast-track or large-scale capital construction programs.
-Demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, and resolve complex construction and systems-integration risks.
-Experience mentoring and developing construction management professionals.
