Job Description
A large telecommunications company is seeking a fully remote Network Technician II for a contract extending through 2026. The awarded project will support approximately 10,000 network sites over the life of the contract. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include scheduled network activations, network turn‑ups, and activation failure response, along with ongoing communication with vendors and customers to resolve tickets. Technicians can expect to complete 2–3 activations per day, with each activation typically taking 1–4 hours. The majority of the role involves troubleshooting VPN and connectivity issues, working through Layers 1–3 of the OSI model. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast‑paced, activation‑driven environment. This is a fully remote role with ability to work 8-5 in your prospected time zone. Targeted pay rate of $28-30 an hour.

Required Skills & Experience
3- 4+ years of working in a network related role supporting commercial and or enterprise level customers
Hands-on experience remoting into VPN and troubleshooting within
Experience with BGP routing protocols
Experience with routing hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel
OSI model comfortability layers 1-3
Exposure to Ethernet technologies (preferably Ethernet transport)
IP subnetting experience
Experience communicating to customers and/or vendors
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
CCNA or higher
CISCO SDWAN experience
