Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a System Test Engineer based in Colorado Springs to support the Missile Defense System (MDS) test program. This team is responsible for planning, coordinating, and analyzing a wide range of ground and flight tests, including CDI, GTI, GTD, cyber events, SDA activities, HWIL pre‑flight tests, and international test events.
The engineer will lead planning for assigned test events by developing all required test artifacts—such as test objectives, architectures, data descriptions, defense designs, SRM settings, OPTASKLINK/ADSI configurations, connectivity matrices, ECBs, SAPs/SSPs, certification packages, and other technical documentation. The role also includes supporting planning reviews, customer meetings, data management, and coordination with developers and government personnel during execution. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, analysis support, and participation in Failure Review Boards.

Required Skills & Experience
Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, bachelor’s with 5+ years, or equivalent experience in network engineering.
Secret clearance or higher
Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense System (MDS), including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
Experience planning and coordinating complex system test events, including developing required test documentation and technical artifacts
Strong understanding of system architectures, data descriptions, configuration baselines, and system parameters (SAPs/SSPs)
Skilled in troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and contributing to analysis efforts and Failure Review Boards
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
