Job Description

Insight Global is seeking multiple MBSE Systems Engineers II-IV to support a highly visible aerospace and defense program focused on requirements development, systems architecture, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and technical design execution. This individual will work closely with engineering teams and program stakeholders to develop systems engineering artifacts, support design reviews, and contribute to the architecture and requirements foundation for complex mission systems.
The ideal candidate has experience working on the left side of the Systems Engineering V -- Experience supporting the requirements, architecture, and design phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, developing SysML models, managing requirements, and utilizing MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence system architecture, technical planning, and engineering processes supporting next-generation national security capabilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Support technical planning activities and system development efforts throughout the engineering lifecycle
• Develop and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts using SysML and Cameo Enterprise Architecture
• Collaborate with integrated product teams (IPTs) to develop systems engineering, requirements, architecture, and design documentation
• Support system architecture development including behavioral, structural, and analytical models
• Contribute to requirements development, decomposition, allocation, traceability, and baseline management activities
• Conduct pre-review readiness assessments and support major technical design reviews
• Develop and improve modeling techniques, processes, procedures, and tool integration strategies
• Support development of tools and processes used to communicate, manage, and track technical actions and engineering deliverables
• Interface with technical teams, leadership, and customers to ensure engineering products align with program objectives
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives across systems engineering and MBSE activities

Pay Range: ~$90,000-$164,000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefits eligibility on day one of employment – Package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching (vesting period applies). Required Skills & Experience

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2-9+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience with requirements development, management, analysis, or allocation
• Experience developing SysML models
• Experience with MBSE tools such as: Cameo, MagicDraw and Rhapsody and exposure to Model-Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• OCSMP (OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional) Certification
• Experience using AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling)
• Experience leading technical projects or engineering teams
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
• Experience supporting Agile engineering environments
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, space, or mission systems programs
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
