Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to support a short-term, project-based engagement focused on redesigning and enhancing an existing website for a solar and HVAC company that serves both commercial and residential clients. This individual will play a key role in improving the site’s visual design, user experience, and overall performance to better reflect the company’s evolving brand, communicate expanded service offerings, and drive customer engagement and conversions.
This role will work within an existing WordPress environment, making strategic updates and enhancements rather than building a site from scratch. Strong experience designing within construction, solar, HVAC, or similar service-based industries is required.

Redesign and enhance site layout, navigation, and content structure to create a more intuitive and visually appealing experience

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on branding, messaging, and user experience goals

Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize improved user flows and layouts

Improve overall site performance by optimizing user journeys, interaction design, and page structure

Design and implement new UI components within the existing WordPress site while maintaining brand consistency

Refine content presentation and messaging to more effectively communicate services and support business growth

Ensure the website is responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible across all devices

Partner closely with developers or work within WordPress tools to implement design updates

Analyze user behavior and feedback to continuously improve the user experience and site effectiveness

Iterate on design solutions based on feedback, testing, and performance insights to increase conversions
