Job Description

A lead defense contractor sitting in Simi Valley, CA is looking to hire an NPI Manager III. This role is responsible for leading the operational launch of new products into production. The person will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs are manufacturable and ready for production builds. He/She will be responsible for driving schedules, coordinating teams, managing risks, and ensuring the product is ready to move from design into manufacturing. This person will act as the central coordinator and accountability driver across multiple teams. This role will be paying between ($136-$194/yearly depending on years of experience).

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) and transition into production
• Coordinate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
• Track action items across multiple teams and parts
• Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) readiness
• Identify and mitigate program risks
• Hold cross-functional teams accountable to schedules and deliverables
• Present program status updates to leadership
Typical programs involve 30–40+ components and multiple functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- 12-15+ years of experience with previous NPI Program Management/Manufacturing Engineering project leadership
- Hands on experience with a product, leading new product introduction (NPI) and transition into production
- Experience in coordinating with multiple functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain); multiple components (upwards of 30-40+ components)
- Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Experience ensuring design for Manufacturability (DFM) readiness
