Role Summary
The Project Manager owns governance, performance outcomes, and operational stability for NVIDIA’s Project Sweeping autonomous vehicle data-collection program. This role governs how the operation runs, not daily driving execution. Success is defined by KPI integrity, risk management, cross-site consistency, and executive-level client alignment across a multi-state, multi-shift footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Client Interface
Act as the primary escalation and alignment owner for NVIDIA leadership
Lead and maintain formal governance rhythms:
Daily operational debrief review
Weekly KPI and shift-efficiency reviews
Future Operations Planning (FOPS) participation
Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Enforce RFQ scope, service boundaries, and managed-services separation of duties
Performance & KPI Ownership
Own project-level KPIs, including:
Shift efficiency (≥75%)
Collection hours
Safety incidents and near-miss trends
Staffing readiness and backfill timelines
Data completeness and transfer timeliness
Ensure consistent reporting cadences and executive-ready dashboards
Workforce & Scale Governance
Govern workforce scaling from early ramp (39 Driver/Test Operators, 26 vehicles) to steady state (62 Driver/Test Operators, 41 vehicles)
Oversee regional deployment and redeployment strategy across CA, TX, NY/NJ, NV, FL, MA, GA, Washington D.C., and future U.S. locations
Ensure workforce models support day/night shifts, staggered handoffs, and surge demand
Risk, Safety & Continuous Improvement
Identify systemic risks (safety, fatigue, inefficiency, co‑employment) and drive corrective action
Partner with Safety and Analytics teams to close RCA loops
Drive continuous improvement to increase predictability, safety, and operational efficiency

Required Skills & Experience
-8+ years leading multi-site, safety-critical operations or managed services
-Experience managing autonomous vehicle testing or large-scale mobile data-collection programs
-Strong understanding of AV operational workflows (Drivers, Test Operators, Mission Control/Dispatch, fleet readiness, data transfer)
-Proven ability to govern safety- and data-quality-driven operations through KPIs and standardized reporting
-Experience managing large, mobile or field-based workforces across geographies and shifts
-Strong analytical capability and executive-level communication skills
-Demonstrated success scaling operations across locations and operating hours
