Job Description
The NPI Test Engineer supports design transfer and production readiness by developing and implementing test processes across automated manufacturing lines, with a strong focus on software-driven testing.
• Execute design transfer and production ramp activities
o Support transition of test methods from R&D into production
o Develop and refine test strategies, validation plans, and execution
• Develop and maintain test systems
o Build and scale test platforms across multiple production lines/subsystems
o Ensure repeatability, reliability, and production readiness
• Test automation & scripting
o Write, debug, and integrate Python scripts into test frameworks
o Support data pipelines, sequencing, signal analysis, and test controls
• Validation & compliance
o Support protocol development and execution (IQ/OQ/PQ, engineering studies)
o Contribute to documentation (test methods, datasheets, PFMEA updates, equipment qualifications)
• Troubleshooting & continuous improvement
o Identify failures, validate test coverage, and improve test robustness
o Drive process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Cross-functional collaboration
o Partner with R&D, quality, and manufacturing to finalize test processes and changes
o Support engineering changes and documentation updates in PLM systems

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience implementing process or test changes in a manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of hands-on Python scripting and test automation
• Strong understanding of hardware/software interactions
• Experience with test equipment and fixture design
• Experience writing/executing protocols and validation activities (IQ/OQ or similar)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience implementing process or test changes in a commercial production environment
• Medical device experience (PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ, FDA/compliance exposure)
• Experience supporting design transfer (R&D → production)
• Gage R&R analysis (Minitab preferred)
• Experience with robotic or automated production systems
• Experience in capital equipment manufacturing
• Familiarity with tools/systems: GIT, Agile PLM, MES (Camstar)
