Insight Global is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Specialist IV to support a cutting-edge medical device manufacturing organization in Santa Clara, CA.
This individual will serve as a senior manufacturing operations professional responsible for production execution, work order management, inventory control, material readiness, operational reporting, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing systems, production control, supply chain operations, and regulated manufacturing environments.
This position works closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure production schedules are met, materials are available, operational risks are mitigated, and manufacturing activities run efficiently.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Lead daily manufacturing operations activities to support production schedules, manufacturing readiness, and operational objectives.
• Create, release, prioritize, manage, and close manufacturing and rework work orders within MES and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production constraints, material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and manufacturing system issues.
• Lead production meetings and communicate manufacturing status, risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders.
• Drive accountability for action items impacting production execution, inventory accuracy, material availability, and schedule attainment.
• Maintain and develop operational dashboards, Power BI reports, build trackers, and manufacturing metrics.
• Support manufacturing systems administration and troubleshooting activities, including MES transactions, ERP support, reporting tools, and quality system requests.
• Review inventory transactions, manufacturing records, and production documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate material readiness efforts including kitting, staging, replenishment, Kanban activities, and inventory verification.
• Perform inventory reconciliation, cycle count reviews, and material readiness assessments.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance manufacturing execution.
• Develop and maintain standard work, operating procedures, reporting tools, and training materials.
• Analyze production and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Support manufacturing scale-up efforts, capacity planning initiatives, and operational readiness activities.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO, FDA, and other quality system requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production control, materials management, supply chain, or logistics.
• Power user of SAP and MES in a manufacturing environment.
o Hands-on experience with SAP transactions, Siemens MES containers, work order creation/management, and MES peer reviews.
o Experience owning production execution, work order flow, inventory control, and material readiness.
• Experience working in medical device manufacturing environment (GMP/FDA/ISO).
• Ability to lead cross-functional production activities and drive issue resolution across multiple teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Leadership or team lead experience.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior specialists.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Power BI reporting and dashboard experience.
• Complex electromechanical device manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting production planning, inventory reconciliation, manufacturing systems administration, or production scale-up activities.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Materials, and Supply Chain teams.
• Experience with Airtable, ComplianceWire, or similar operational systems.
