1. Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. (human services/ social work/ psychology)
2. Must have 6 Administration units and 2 Adult Supervision units within one year of employment. (ideally they would have that
a. Have partnerships to assist with starting these units
3. 3-5 years of experience in managing a similar program/department, including two years of direct staff supervision experience.
4. Experience working with Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, State of California, and federal child care contracts. (education/ school setting)
5. Experience in identifying, planning, and implementing activities, literature, and other program content appropriate for multilingual and multicultural child development settings.
Must be bilingual/biliterate in English and Spanish

Administration/Management: Assist the Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating federal and state programs. Supervise and support content area staff, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality services meet program standards. Collaborate with Area Managers on staff development plans and provide training to staff, parents, and volunteers.
Fiscal/Budget: Support the development and monitoring of program budgets, coordinate with fiscal staff, and address budget variances.
Monitoring: Ensure high-quality services and compliance with performance standards. Monitor recruitment, enrollment, attendance, staffing, and program activities. Participate in audits and reviews to implement management recommendations.
Planning: Collaborate on new funding sources, facility development, and ensuring compliance with grant and contract specifications.
Community Relationships and Partnerships: Assist in public relations strategies, network to enhance community relations, and raise the profile of CAPSLO and its programs.
