Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Solar Array Technician in the Greater San Jose Area. This individual will support the assembly, integration, testing, and production of spacecraft solar array systems. This hands-on role is responsible for building and verifying flight-quality solar array hardware, supporting production operations, and ensuring solar array assemblies meet all mechanical, electrical, and quality requirements prior to spacecraft integration.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in aerospace, electronics, solar manufacturing, precision assembly and/or production test
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, assembly procedures and work instructions
Experience using precision hand tools, torque tools, measurement equipment,
and electrical test equipment.
Experience performing mechanical assembly operations including bonding, fastening, torquing, staking and adhesive application
Experience conducting electrical integration activities including harness routing, connector installation, continuity checks and functional verification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience assembling spacecraft, satellite, aerospace, or high reliability electromechanical hardware.
Experience with photovoltaic solar cells, solar panel manufacturing, or solar array assembly.
Experience with bonding, adhesives, composites, laminates, and lightweight structural assemblies.
Understanding of ESD controls, contamination control, and cleanroom operations.
Experience supporting environmental testing such as vibration, thermal vacuum, or thermal cycling.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience documenting work in MES, ERP, or quality management systems.
Familiarity with non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, NASA-STD-8739, or similar certifications are a plus.
