Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Test Equipment & Calibration Technician in the Greater San Jose Area. This individual will be responsible for the reliability, maintenance, calibration, repair, and continuous improvement of the environmental test equipment and supporting infrastructure used throughout spacecraft AIT. You will be required to have hands-on experience maintaining complex aerospace test equipment including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum (TVAC) chambers, vibration systems, and associated facility infrastructure. Additionally, this individual will own preventative maintenance programs, coordinate equipment calibration, manage third-party service providers, and ensure critical production test assets remain operational with minimal downtime.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing environmental test equipment, industrial equipment, semiconductor equipment, or comparable aerospace production equipment.
Experience supporting thermal vacuum (TVAC) chambers, thermal chambers, vibration systems, environmental chambers, or similar complex industrial equipment.
Experience reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
Familiarity with vacuum systems, refrigeration systems, chillers, compressed gases, pumps, instrumentation, PLC-controlled equipment, and/or industrial automation.
Experience coordinating equipment repairs with external vendors and OEM service organizations.
Familiarity with calibration management systems and maintaining calibration records for production equipment and hand tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience supporting spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle, semiconductor, or aerospace production facilities.
Experience maintaining thermal vacuum chambers, environmental chambers, vibration systems, electrodynamic shakers, or EMI/EMC equipment.
Familiarity with vacuum pumps, helium leak detection systems, cryogenic systems, cooling water systems, refrigeration equipment, and compressed gas systems.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial controls, HMIs, or facility automation systems.
Familiarity with LabVIEW, National Instruments DAQ systems, instrumentation, or environmental monitoring systems.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 calibration and equipment maintenance requirements.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or enterprise asset management software.
