Job Description
As the Product Manager for Store Sync's partner-facing APIs, you will own the interfaces
that LLM partners integrate with to deliver end-to-end shopping experiences. You'll work
directly with LLM partners to understand their integration needs, translate those into
product requirements and technical specs, and drive execution with engineering. This role
sits at the intersection of commerce infrastructure, payments, and AI — requiring someone
who can navigate external partner dynamics and internal technical tradeoffs with equal
confidence.
Responsibilities:
• Own the API Surface: Define and evolve the Store Sync APIs that LLM partners use
to build carts, resolve product catalogs, and facilitate checkout while ensuring they
are reliable, flexible, and easy to integrate.
• Drive Partner Requirements: Engage directly with LLM partners and merchants to
gather requirements, identify integration pain points, and infuse an outside-in
perspective into the product roadmap.
• Shape Product Strategy: Shape the near-term roadmap and longer-term vision for
Store Sync's partner-facing capabilities, balancing new feature development,
integration simplicity, and platform scalability.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product managers across PayPal's
checkout, payments, and catalog teams to ensure Store Sync delivers a cohesive
end-to-end experience.
• Prioritize Effectively: Balance competing demands from multiple LLM partners,
merchant needs, and internal platform investments to maximize adoption and
commercial impact.
• Enable Agile Execution: Work closely with engineering through sprint cadences,
standups, and retrospectives to maintain consistent delivery velocity against an
ambitious roadmap.
• Measure and Iterate: Define success metrics for API adoption, partner integration
health, and transaction performance — using data and partner feedback to
continuously refine the product.

Required Skills & Experience
• 6–8 years of product management experience, ideally in commerce, payments, or
platform/marketplace environments.
• Familiarity with API design and management; you don't need to write code, but you
should be comfortable reading API specs, discussing schema tradeoffs, and
partnering credibly with engineers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between external partner
needs and internal engineering execution across diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to synthesize partner feedback, competitive dynamics, and business
objectives into clear product strategies and prioritized roadmaps.
• Experience building platform or infrastructure products that serve multiple external
partners or integration surfaces.
• Commerce or payments domain experience is strongly desired. Experience building
AI-native products or working with LLM/agentic platforms is a plus.
• A bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity — this space is moving fast, and
the playbook is being written in real time.
