Job Description

An employer is looking for a Network Engineer to perform wireless design and deployment to uplift the wireless network across global offices. Structures will be in place for oversight and escalation, with a Salesforce (SF) Engineer paired with the consultant. The SF Engineer will review and approve the wireless design, while the consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing the wireless environment based on business requirements and established standards and procedures. The role also includes troubleshooting deployments, with support from the SF Engineer for triaging complex issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of experience with Cisco wired and wireless networking products, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Distribution and Access Switches and Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise wireless networks (802.11ac, 802.11ax, and 802.11ax with 6 GHz band).
• Strong experience supporting office networking infrastructure, including Prisma SD WAN, portal and campus network environments.
• Hands on experience configuring and managing Cisco Catalyst access and distribution switches, including routing, VLANs, and port configuration.
• Experience planning and deploying wired and wireless networks in office environments, including AP placement, RF planning, capacity planning, and interference mitigation.
• Preferred familiarity with Ekahau Pro for wireless design and surveys, with the ability to independently complete wireless site surveys.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Project management skills, including working independently, collaborating across teams, and participating in a scrum/agile work environment.
• Cisco certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, and/or CCIE).
