Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to help build a centralized, service‑oriented cloud infrastructure that sits between internal engineering teams and Azure public cloud, enabling secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient backend services at scale. This role focuses on storage, data platforms, messaging, and microservices frameworks, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and operational excellence. You’ll help centralize shared services (Cosmos DB, Service Bus, storage) used by hundreds of internal services, while driving reliability, efficiency, and cost control.
What You'll Do:
-Design and operate service‑facing cloud infrastructure that abstracts Azure complexity for internal developers
-Build and maintain centralized storage and data solutions (Cosmos DB, SQL, storage services) used across ~500 internal services
-Develop Terraform‑based infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines to deploy and manage cloud resources
-Own and evolve Azure Service Bus–based messaging systems, ensuring efficient resource usage and real‑time communication
-Drive cost optimization and resource centralization, including shared Cosmos DB throughput (RU) models
-Partner closely with internal service teams to plan capacity, onboard services, and improve platform adoption
-Support Azure public cloud and on‑prem hybrid environments, including customer‑facing workloads
-Leverage AI‑assisted tooling to improve development velocity and Terraform automation
PR: $35-$40/hr

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ YOE experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, messaging, databases)
-Strong CI/CD and Terraform experience
-Experience building and operating backend, service‑facing platforms
-Hands‑on experience with Cosmos DB and/or large‑scale data platforms
-Experience with microservices frameworks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake
-Experience with Azure Service Bus or large‑scale messaging systems
-Background in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
-Programming experience in C#, Java, or C++
-Experience supporting large enterprise or regulated customers
