Job Description

One of our top design engineering partners is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support their Southern California offices (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles). This individual will play a key role in delivering high-impact projects within the mission critical space, including data centers and healthcare facilities.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to drive electrical system design from concept through construction. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality design deliverables, ensuring coordination across disciplines, and contributing to the successful execution of complex, large-scale projects.
This position will include performing site surveys, conducting field observations, and supporting construction administration efforts. You should be comfortable working with energy compliance and design standards, including Title 24, OSHPD, and NEC, as well as performing load calculations and electrical studies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading electrical system design, including layouts (CAD/BIM) and engineering calculations
- Representing the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and project stakeholders
- Developing electrical system designs, specifications, narratives, and layouts for healthcare and data center facilities
- Establishing project-specific design standards, criteria, and specifications
- Collaborating cross-functionally with architectural and MEP teams to ensure integrated design solutions
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and designers throughout the project lifecycle
- Participating in QA/QC reviews to uphold design standards and project quality
- Supporting construction administration activities such as site visits, field inspections, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited Institution
- 7+ years of hands on electrical engineering experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience working in Revit

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Advanced experience with power system analysis tools (SKM or ETAP)
- Experience supporting mission critical projects (data centers, healthcare, etc.)
- Strong project management skills across the full project lifecycle
- Exposure to proposals and client pursuits
- Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers
