Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Secret Sr. Safety Engineer local to San Diego to support a large government client. This person will be responsible for providing system safety expertise to multiple teams. They will have expertise in the MIL-STD-882 handbook and ensuring compliance to those standards. They will also have experience creating risk assessments, air worthiness assessments, and general subsystem safety analysis assessments.

Required Skills & Experience

* Active Secret Clearance with SAP Eligibility

* 8 years of Systems Safety experience with a bachelors degree in engineering or a related field OR 6 years of Systems Safety experience with a masters degree in a related field

* Experience performing and preparing a variety of safety plans and assessments including: SSHA, SAR, HMMP, O&SHA, AWRA,

* Expertise with the MIL-STD-882 experience

Willing to mentor Junior engineers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Aerospace experience, specifically assessing parts coming off of a payload
