Job Description
We are looking for a File Clerk to join a large healthcare organization. The file clerk will be responsible for the following:
Assign and route patient cases to physicians based on urgency, specialty, and daily workload distribution.
Review the case queue each morning and make real‑time decisions on case allocation to ensure balanced physician workloads.
Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound calls from physicians and nursing staff, addressing requests, updates, and scheduling needs.
Manage a high volume of incoming phone calls throughout the day while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Demonstrate strong self‑direction and the ability to prioritize tasks independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Upload, organize, and manage medical images and related documentation within internal systems.
Prepare and burn CDs containing medical images and records as requested by clinical staff.
Operate and troubleshoot various software systems, imaging programs, and office or medical equipment as required.

Required Skills & Experience
-1 year of customer service experience in the healthcare industry
-1 year of experience with epic
-1 year of experience with Microsoft office suite

Strong multitasking and decision‑making abilities
Calm and composed under high call volume and frequent interruptions
Excellent communication skills with physicians and clinical staff
Comfortable working with technology, systems, and specialized equipment
Detail‑oriented with the ability to follow protocols accurately
Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑moving clinical environment
