Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of an interior design client. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and supporting project-based accounting for multiple design projects. Required Skills & Experience
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing
• Track project costs, deposits, retainers, and expenses across multiple design projects
• Prepare and send client invoices and statements in coordination with design teams
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
• Assist with sales tax, use tax, and basic compliance reporting as needed
• Support month-end close and provide financial reports to ownership or leadership
Maintain organized financial documentation related to vendors, clients, and projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Experience
• Experience working for an interior design, architecture, or creative services firm
• Familiarity with project-based accounting or job costing
• Experience with sales tax related to furnishings or client billing
Comfortable collaborating with designers and business owners
