Job Description

Instrument Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair on laboratory equipment, including:

HPLC / UPLC systems
LCMS systems
Gas chromatographs
Incubators
Centrifuges
Microscopes
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Operate test and calibration equipment such as multimeters, temperature standards, optical standards, and liquid flow meters.
Coordinate the removal and return of equipment requiring extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance windows.
Documentation & Compliance
Record, review, and maintain daily documentation for inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and corrective actions.
Identify and report abnormal or out-of-tolerance equipment conditions and initiate corrective action as required.
Assist in the development and documentation of equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with external contractors for repairs covered under service or maintenance agreements.
Communicate effectively with client staff and third-party service providers regarding equipment calibration, repair status, and operational needs.
Identify parts and suppliers, estimate repair costs, prepare requisitions, and track instrument and parts reliability.
Recommend alternative service strategies, suppliers, or parts when appropriate.
Operational Excellence
Follow standardized procedures and best practices to meet objectives and deadlines.
Lead by example and demonstrate behaviors aligned with Client values.
Exchange clear, straightforward information; ask questions and verify understanding.
Contribute to the quality and reliability of technical services delivered.

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required licenses or certifications as mandated by law.
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, including:






HPLC / UPLC systems
Gas chromatographs
Incubators, Centrifuge, Microscopes
LCMS systems
Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including:

Standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders
Lifting and carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Coming from an OEM like Agilent, Waters, etc
