Job Description
In this role, the Payroll Operations Support Analyst provides essential operational support across daily payroll activities and Data Maintenance workflows. The analyst manages case creation and updates, processes union enrollments, and maintains logs and trackers to ensure accurate documentation and workflow visibility. They perform daily audit activities to validate data integrity, support off‑cycle and final pay validations, and complete miscellaneous Data Maintenance tasks as assigned. The analyst contributes to backlog reduction by managing workload efficiently and prioritizing high‑volume requests. They also provide operational and compliance support to ensure timely processing, adherence to policy, and smooth coordination with permanent staff—allowing senior team members to focus on complex, high‑risk payroll issues.

Required Skills & Experience
Knowledge of payroll administration and core payroll processing concepts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Strong data entry capability with high attention to detail.
Ability to analyze payroll transactions and identify discrepancies.
Experience prioritizing deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume operational setting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical payroll deadlines.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to evolving processes.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and union dues administration (training provided regardless).
Experience supporting compliance activities within payroll or HR operations.
Background in backlog reduction or workflow optimization.
Exposure to payroll case management tools or ticketing systems.
