Job Description
We are seeking a landlord‑side Unlawful Detainer Attorney to represent property owners and property management companies in eviction proceedings. This role requires hands‑on trial experience and the ability to independently manage a high‑volume UD docket. While the position is remote, regular in‑person court appearances in Los Angeles are required.
Responsibilities
Represent landlords and property owners in Unlawful Detainer proceedings from filing through resolution
Appear in court for hearings, trials, and motion practice at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse
Draft pleadings, motions, trial briefs, and related eviction documents
Conduct bench trials in contested Unlawful Detainer matters
Advise landlord clients on eviction strategy, risk, and outcomes
Manage multiple UD cases simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on litigation and trial strategy

Required Skills & Experience
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active admission to the California State Bar
3–5+ years of landlord‑side Unlawful Detainer / eviction litigation experience
Trial experience required
Strong working knowledge of California landlord‑tenant and eviction laws
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ability to work independently and meet aggressive court deadlines
Excellent written, verbal, and courtroom advocacy skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
