Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Scheduler/Planner to join our client on a 9 month contract. The Project Planner/Scheduler partners closely with project managers and engineering leaders to develop, maintain, and control baseline project schedules, including integrated resource planning and cost estimates. This role is responsible for collecting, updating, and analyzing schedule data to produce accurate project status and financial progress reports, while performing detailed analytical reviews to identify trends, correlations, and potential anomalies that may impact project execution. The Planner/Scheduler prepares clear and concise schedule narratives that effectively communicate project progress, risks, and forecasted outcomes to stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with established company scheduling standards and operating procedures is critical, as is performing Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and generating performance reports to monitor cost and schedule health. The role also maintains strict quality assurance and quality control processes across all assigned schedules to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reliability throughout the project lifecycle. Pay rate between $25-35/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in project scheduling and planning within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure environments
Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
Solid understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, metrics, and reporting
Experience with resource-loaded schedules, cost integration, and baseline management
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and deliver actionable insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear schedule narratives and stakeholder-facing reports
Knowledge of scheduling standards, best practices, and internal governance procedures
High attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and data accuracy
Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools to support schedule analysis and performance tracking
Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and leadership teams
