Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Remote Application Performance Engineer to join the Application Performance team. The primary responsibilities of this role it to manage, review and analyze telemetry data utilizing OpenTelemetry & Dynatrace. This person must understand the features and capabilities of both tools to navigate the interface and access various monitoring, select the right data points to visualize on the dashboard and create effective and insightful Dynatrace dashboards that help monitor and optimize applications.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as an Application Performance Engineer / Observability Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTeL), specifically implementing OTel Signals whether that be traces, metrics, logs or all three.
- Experience with building and/or configuring OpenTelemetry Collector to receive, process and export telemetry data to Dynatrace via OpenTelemetry Protocols (OTLP).
- Experience with Dynatrace to analyze and interpret performance data, metrics and logs for selecting the right data points to create a dashboard.
- Experience with building and/or implementing Dynatrace workflows from end to end to respond to problems/anomalies.
- Experience with triggers, Dynatrace Query Language (DQL), conditional logic & integrations.
- Experience with DQL commands: fetch, filter, sort and summarize to process data.
- Must be able and open to working PST hours.

- Dynatrace Advanced Security Specialist Certification
- Dynatrace Advanced Automation Specialist Certification
- Experience with at least one of the following: Azure, Python, JavaScript, SNMP, AppDynamics
