Job Description

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)

Job Summary:
The EHS Technician supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe workplace by conducting inspections, assisting in training, and maintaining safety documentation.6.

Actively contribute to the implementation of EHS policies and training programs.
Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards by conducting audits and recommending corrective actions.
Maintain safety records, including incident reports and inspection logs.
Support accident investigations by gathering information and assisting with reports.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting emergency response drills and workplace safety training sessions.
Assist with hazardous waste management, environmental compliance inspections, and proper disposal procedures.
Provide guidance on proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, workplace safety procedures, and maintain and distribute PPE as needed.
Assist with vendor coordination for items such as prescription safety glasses, audiograms, and safety shoes.
Use software tools to update safety documents and reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
Perform other duties as assigned to support EHS initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
High school diploma or GED with relevant experience in EHS roles will be considered.
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
1-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel between sites.
