Estimator

The Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, work quality, employee conduct, and safe work practices for assigned crews. This role ensures projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
The Estimator / Project Manager serves as a key point of contact between customers, crews, and company management. Responsibilities include coordinating jobs from bid and proposal through completion, supervising crews across multiple job sites, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction. This role reports directly to upper-level management and represents the company in all customer and job-site interactions.

• 3+ YOE in any industrial painting (petrochemical, wastewater, power, government, industrial coatings, floor coatings, concrete coatings)
• Familiarity with industrial coatings or plural component applications.
• Experience working for a commercial or industrial painting subcontractor.
• Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record
• Advanced knowledge of painting methods, procedures, tools, and equipment used in the painting industry
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices
• Proven ability to supervise, instruct, and lead crews effectively across multiple job sites
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, at a level necessary for successful job performance
• Experience interacting professionally with customers, contractors, tradespeople, tenants, and employees
• Demonstrated ability to plan jobs, schedule crews, and coordinate materials, equipment, and resources
Experience completing and managing required documentation such as daily job reports, time sheets, logs, incident reports, and other company-required forms

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Industrial or petrochemical painting estimation experience.
• Experience preparing bids, presenting proposals, and closing projects with customers
• Background in cost tracking, job costing, and expense allocation for projects
• Experience managing company vehicles, equipment logs, and maintenance reporting
• Strong customer follow-up skills to ensure satisfaction upon project completion
Prior responsibility for invoicing and collection at project closeout
