Job Description
The Product Manager will develop a productive partnership with business stakeholders at all levels and guide product development toward delivery of integrated, efficient, and intuitive business systems.
The Product Manager must have experience designing, implementing, and supporting software and data products. They will bring that experience to bear, as well as build a deep understanding of current and future technologies associated with the Studio businesses they support; they will be seen as an expert by Studio Technology and business partners alike. They will frame ambiguous business needs, validate them with research and evidence, and determine how best to meet those needs. This includes working with the business and the technology teams to gather and synthesize requirements for new solutions. Success is measured by whether solutions meet business needs and defined KPIs.
To be successful in this role, experience managing a diverse portfolio of applications that are heterogeneous in nature is necessary (for example, third-party vendor apps, in-house apps, financial systems, workflow management software, reporting platforms, artificial intelligence, and proofs of concept, as well as mature applications). Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all experience levels, are essential. The ability to present complex processes and abstract ideas in meaningful visual representations is important in this position. Strong project management skills, resource and timeline management, risk assessment, and the ability to work with external contractors and consultants are core to performing well in this role. Experience building proofs of concept to validate reporting and analytics approaches, and working with stakeholders across teams to balance competing priorities, is important in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate business requirements from stakeholders to all necessary parties.
- In close partnership with the Manager and business stakeholders, develop the product vision and product roadmap; frame problems and define what to solve before detailing solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development and maintenance of third-party vendor reporting software (PaaS) and internally-built software products; evaluate build-vs-buy trade-offs and advocate for priorities with evidence.
- Define, groom, and accept user stories based on stakeholder requests; ensure stories trace to validated business outcomes and KPIs.
- Perform administration duties, including regular user access audits, cloud instance infrastructure maintenance projects, and vendor relationship management.
- Partner with Senior Business Analysts/Product Teams for other Studio applications to identify data sources and required elements for new data connections; influence data and integration decisions across teams.
- Partner with the development team to design dashboards, dossiers, and other visualizations within MicroStrategy to meet business needs; prototype and validate analytics experiences before full build where appropriate.
- Drive build-vs-buy decisions.
- Build working proofs of concept with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor and Claude) to validate ideas before committing engineering or vendor resources.
- Define and measure KPIs that support project business case(s) and recurring spend; tie KPIs to business results and recurring spend ROI.
Communicate successes, opportunities, and risks in formal communications.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience performing business analysis within a large enterprise covering both business and information technology domains
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with demonstrated outcome ownership, OR equivalent cross-functional product leadership in an adjacent role (engineering, analytics, strategy, consulting, or operations)
- 3+ years of experience using Agile Scrum methodology
- 3+ years of experience using MicroStrategy (MCE/cloud preferred) or other BI tools
- Ability to build working proofs of concept with AI-assisted coding to validate ideas before committing engineering resources
- Ability to design and synthesize research across methods (qualitative, quantitative, market analysis) and support decisions with specific evidence
- Strong problem-solving skills
BA/BS degree
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of the film production process
- Financial dashboard experience
- Experience building working software or production analytics tools beyond prototyping
- Experience building and understanding SQL queries
- Experience with other BI tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
