Job Description
One of our aerospace clients is looking for a Quality Technician to join their team in Burbank, CA.
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing in‑process and final inspections, supporting FAA DMIR and customer source inspection activities, completing First Article Inspections (FAIRs), and driving quality compliance across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in‑process and final inspections against engineering drawings, specs, and work instructions
- Conduct FAA DMIR activities and customer DQR/source inspections (certification required or ability to obtain)
- Support and back up CMM inspection/programming as needed
- Prepare, review, and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Perform internal process audits and ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards
- Identify defects, prepare NCRs/corrective actions, and trend defect data
- Provide feedback and recommendations to production and management
- Train operators and inspectors on inspection methods and quality processes

Required Skills & Experience
- 1–7 years of quality or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with in‑process inspections, mechanical and/or electronics inspection
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with measurement tools and basic SPC concepts
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior experience as a Quality Technician, Inspector, or Senior Production Operator
- FAA DMIR or customer source inspection experience
- CMM exposure
- Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (AS/BS)
