Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Operations Leader to own day to day execution and vendor management for store supplies distribution following a recent global go live for a large retail client. This role supports non sellable inventory (store supplies) across hundreds of SKUs critical to opening and operating retail locations.

The successful candidate will bring experience working with 3PLs, warehousing, transportation, and operational systems, and will be comfortable in a fast moving and vendor led environment.

Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for invoicing and budget tracking -
• Serve as primary day to day operational owner for store supplies distribution and fulfillment
• Act as the main point of contact for a global 3PL partner handling:
o Warehousing & distribution
o Transportation to retail locations
o Management of a vendor built ecommerce ordering platform
• Ensure consistent service levels, SLA adherence, and issue resolution
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues including:
o Store opening shipments not arriving on time
o Ecommerce ordering platform outages
o Inventory transfer or fulfillment breakdowns
• Oversee inventory movement and transfers between vendors and regions
• Partner with internal stakeholders on program operating guide and process design decisions- updating guide continuously as weekly discovery happens (popping into guide, getting alignment from leaders – legal document)
o As troubleshotting day to day order fullfilmment or logistics management- might need to add steps to process or change steps
o Change steps –
o Guide- process mapping with visio- and word for documenting
• Identify gaps, risks, or inefficiencies and recommend practical, operational fixes
• Collaborate closely with optimization resources while maintaining accountability for execution and stability
• Provide escalation management with urgency when issues impact stores or timelines

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience in operations, logistics, or distribution management
• Strong understanding of warehousing operations, transportation and outbound distribution, and inventory management and transfers
• Demonstrated ability to operate in live environments with aggressive timelines
• Experience owning execution without managing warehouse labor directly (vendor managed models

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proven experience working with 3PL partners
Logistics and transportation management
Procurement or purchasing experience
Exposure to sourcing (including Asia based suppliers)
Retail or store opening supply chain experience
Experience supporting multi region or global distribution programs
