Insight Global is seeking a Product Designer to join one of Canada's largest athletic apparel retailers, located in Vancouver, BC. This is a 6-month contract position. Within the NA Design Excellence and Operations team, the Web Design Systems Team is instrumental in shaping user experiences across guest applications. With a forward-thinking approach, they are dedicated to establishing systems, setting standards, and implementing processes that empower teams to efficiently create guest experiences that are both delightful and inclusive.
* Refine web design system components for top-tier quality and accessibility, ensuring a
seamless user experience.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new components, fostering innovation
and aligning design with industry trends.
* Lead the ongoing evolution of our web design system by staying current with design trends,
experimenting with patterns, and incorporating user feedback.
* Create detailed documentation for components, guidelines, and best practices, empowering
the team and facilitating a collaborative design process.
* Support fellow designers in leveraging the design system. Advocate for systems design,
emphasizing consistency and user-centricity in all design initiatives

* 3+ years of experience in product design or user experience design, with a focus on responsive web
and design systems.
* Figma expert, ability to componentize UI elements for reusability, and up to date with the latest
releases/updates
* Proven skills in all of the following: Design Systems, Responsive Design, User Centered Design
Methodologies, and Digital Accessibility.
* A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process that showcases your ability to create
cohesive, accessible, and systematic solutions.
* Solid technical proficiency in Figma and ability to componentize UI elements for reusability.
* BA / BS degree UX/UI design, UCD, HCI, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
