Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to join a large retail client based in Vancouver, BC, working onsite 4 days per week. This individual will join the Enterprise Data Quality Engineering team at lululemon and play a key role in advancing data quality maturity across the organization. They will focus primarily on Data Quality Engineering, supporting a twofold mandate: building scalable data quality solutions and leveraging native capabilities within Snowflake and Databricks. This includes developing automation frameworks, identifying optimization opportunities, and building pipelines to ensure data quality through the implementation of quality rules.
The intermediate-level Data Engineer is expected to have 4–7 years of experience and will support the identification, implementation, and monitoring of complex data quality and observability initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement integration, modeling, and orchestration solutions for complex datasets within Snowflake and Databricks
Build and maintain data quality pipelines and enforce data quality rules across datasets
Develop automation frameworks to improve data quality monitoring and observability
Identify opportunities for optimization across data systems and processes
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data engineering and data quality-related incidents
Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation
Participate in knowledge transfer activities and proactively communicate issues and risks

Required Skills & Experience

4-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer with Data Quality

Experience in SQL.

Proficiency in one or more programming language – Python, Java or Scala.

Experience with any of cloud systems – Azure ,AWS or GCP.

Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines

Knowledge of data management fundamentals, data storage principles, ETL, Data Modeling, and Data Architecture.

Experience with Snowflake & databricks platforms.

Experience with Databricks and PySpark.

Experience with data quality tools.

Experience with Azure Cloud services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, AKS, Docker.

Experience with any of the data orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory or Apache Airflow.

Experience with one of the DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab
