Job Description

The Senior Oracle HCM Functional Analyst is part of the People Technology team and is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Oracle Cloud HCM platform. This role partners closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure system stability, compliance, and operational continuity.
The successful candidate will bring strong functional expertise in Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management, along with a solid understanding of legislative compliance and year‑end payroll processes. This position plays a critical role in supporting live payroll operations and ensuring accurate system configuration, data integrity, and ongoing platform optimization.

Key responsibilities
-Provide functional support and configuration for Oracle Cloud HCM, with primary focus on:
1. Payroll (including legislative compliance and year-end processing)
2. Time & Labor
3. Absence Management
- Deliver hands-on functional support during weekly and off-cycle payroll runs, partnering closely with the Payroll team to resolve system-related issues and ensure timely, accurate processing.
-Support the integration and interaction between Time & Absence and Payroll.
-Configure and maintain Time & Absence frameworks, including rules, overtime calculations, absence plans and accruals, approval workflows, and Payroll integrations.
-Support legislative updates, year-end activities, quarterly releases, and compliance-driven system changes.
-Configure and maintain Fast Formulas, eligibility profiles, payroll elements, balances, and related setups.
-Configure, support, and maintain end-to-end payroll costing processes and related reporting, including audit support and reconciliation.
-Evaluate, document, and manage system changes, including quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, patches, enhancements, and defect resolutions.
-Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT technical teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements; manage work through JIRA/CAB processes for development, testing, and deployment.
-Partner with technical resources on reporting and development initiatives by providing clear functional requirements, testing support, and validation.
-Analyze and validate payroll and time-related data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
-Prepare and maintain detailed functional design, configuration, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

-Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Cloud HCM, with a strong emphasis on Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management.
-Strong working knowledge of:
1. Payroll legislative rules and compliance requirements
2. Year-end payroll processing
3. Time & Absence data flows into Payroll
- Payroll integrations and data validation controls
-Experience supporting live payroll cycles in a production environment.
-Working knowledge of OTBI and BI Publisher reporting, including defining requirements and validating outputs in partnership with technical teams.
-Strong experience with:
1. Fast Formulas
2. Functional configuration and impact analysis
3. Quarterly Oracle Cloud updates and regression testing
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll review and data analysis.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience in a consulting or implementation background supporting multiple clients or complex payroll environments.
-Demonstrates intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to understand systems end‑to‑end and continuously improve payroll processes.
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
-Confident in decision‑making, trusted in their expertise, and capable of operating independently without heavy oversight.
