Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑performance backend services that support critical business applications. This role focuses on server‑side development, API design, system integration, and performance optimization in a modern, distributed environment.
The ideal candidate has strong Java fundamentals, experience building backend services at scale, and a solid understanding of cloud‑based and microservices architectures.

Key Responsibilities
Backend Development

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java.
Build scalable, resilient, and high‑availability applications supporting business‑critical workloads.
Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following best practices.

System Design & Architecture

Contribute to backend system design, including service decomposition, data flow, and API contracts.
Support microservices‑based architectures and distributed systems.
Collaborate on integration patterns between services, databases, and external systems.

Performance & Reliability

Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks, memory issues, and latency concerns.
Implement logging, monitoring, and error‑handling best practices.

Data & Integration

Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and queries.
Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and third‑party services.
Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across services.

Collaboration & Delivery

Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, architects, and DevOps teams.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automated testing strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with Java (Java 8+ preferred).
Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
Solid understanding of object‑oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot.
Working knowledge of SQL and database design concepts.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of cloud environments and containerized deployments.
Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with microservices architectures.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Experience supporting high‑traffic or enterprise‑scale applications.
