Job Description
One of our large retail clients is looking for a Change Management Consultant to join their team. The Change Management Consultant will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This role is primarily focused on Organizational Change Management (OCM), with an emphasis on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, and job roles. In addition, this role will apply business analysis skills as needed to support change initiatives—such as understanding current and future state processes, clarifying business needs, and translating requirements into effective change, communication, and training strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
• Drive faster adoption, higher utilization, and proficiency with changes impacting employees.
• Provide direct support and coaching to managers and supervisors as they guide their teams through transitions.
• Support project teams in integrating change management activities into project plans.
• Manage stakeholders and communicate change effectively to ensure awareness, alignment, and support.
• Track and report issues, risks, and success measures related to change management efforts.
• Develop survey questions and feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of change activities.
Business Analysis Support (Secondary Focus):
• Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and desired outcomes to inform change strategies.
• Assist in documenting current-state and future-state processes to support change impact assessments and readiness activities.
• Translate business requirements into change impacts, communication needs, and training requirements.
• Validate assumptions, dependencies, and risks related to people, process, and technology changes.
• Ensure change activities align with business objectives and user needs.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in change management
• Proven experience with change management principles, methodologies, and tools
• Experience applying business analysis techniques such as process mapping, requirements clarification, and impact analysis to support change initiatives
• Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to anticipate business partner needs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to diverse audiences
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
