Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our client’s team in India. This individual will design and build scalable analytical solutions using statistics, mathematics, machine learning, and advanced AI techniques to drive customer insights, retention, and revenue optimization. Key responsibilities are shown below:
• Develop data-driven solutions using statistical methods, mathematical modeling, ML/DL, and advanced AI
• Design experiments (A/B, uplift modeling) and measure impact
• Translate business problems into scalable data science solutions
• Work with large-scale customer datasets (transactions, campaigns, behavior)

Questions to ask on the front end:
• System design for ML pipelines (data ingestion → feature engineering → model → scoring)
• Scalability & performance optimization (Spark tuning, partitioning, caching)
• Model deployment basics (batch/real-time scoring, APIs)
• Version control using Git (branching, collaboration)
• Experience with large-scale data processing

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist
- Proven experience working in customer-centric domains, such as e-commerce, retail, or other industries where understanding customer behavior and delivering personalized solutions is critical
- 5+ years of experience working with Python for data modeling
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL
- Coding experience with Databricks, specifically building pipelines, querying and processing tables, distributed computing, etc.
- Experience with Scalability & performance optimization (Spark tuning, partitioning, caching)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Feature store concepts, ML pipelines (MLOps basics)
- CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows
