Role Overview:
Support the operation and troubleshooting of network devices within an Enterprise level data center, focusing on transitioning from Cisco to Arista. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in Cisco nexus hardware whereas experience in Arista data center hardware would be a plus and are eager to grow their skills in a large scale dynamic data center setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for patching and labeling network devices, as well as port configurations, layer 1 an layer 2 troubleshooting and network device decommissions.
· Serve as an initial point of contact for technical issues related to L2 configurations, related to Port/Patch and Decommission requests as well as Incidents created by network alerts.
· Support routine network maintenance such as upgrades, reboots and hardware replacements.
· Participate in a rotating On-Call process for after hours Incidents, from Thursday to Thursday.
· Participate in internal L2 Network Reviews, external Change board discussion, and technical meetings as required.
· Support after-hours change requests for port turn ups, port defaults (decom), migrations and/or other related network activities.
· Collaborate with senior engineers and network designers on complex network designs, supporting, audit efforts, physical hardware verifications, migrations and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience
· 3–5 years of experience in a professional networking or IT support role.
· Hands-on experience with Cisco nexus switches, such as 7k and 9k series hardware (required).
· Understanding and troubleshooting experience of different cable types such as RJ-45, LC, MPO, DAC, Twinax.
· Experience working with Arista network devices (desired).
· Experience using Arista Cloud Vision for network management and monitoring (desired).
· Familiarity with data center operations and network device maintenance.
· Exposure to Spine and Leaf Architecture and common underlay/overlay technologies.
· Experience with 3-Tier Architecture and common technologies such as Spanning Tree and BGP.
· Willingness to learn and support circuit integrations and load balancing solutions.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience with Cisco Nexus Switches.
· Experience with network automation and scripting.
CCNA or Arista L2 Certification (or working towards certification).
· Experience supporting large-scale data center network operations.
This role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $30/hr to $35/hr
**Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
