Job Description
A client of Insight Global's is looking to add a Principal Analysis Engineer to their team. The Principal Analysis Engineer is responsible for leading and performing static and dynamic stress analysis on various products developed by the collective engineering team. The Principal Analysis Engineer is responsible for developing and/or reviewing reports detailing the failure modes of various products and recommended design solutions, as applicable, to reduce the risk of failure during qualification testing and/or product deployment. The Principal Analysis Engineer will utilize various analysis programs (Abaqus, Optistruct, Hypermesh, LS-DYNA) and oversee the development of supplemental analysis tools as required. The Principal Analysis Engineer will manage all analysis workload and ensure analysis staff is adequately trained to support business needs. Required Skills & Experience
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in static and dynamic stress analysis in a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solver or 5+ years of experience directly related to the client's products
- Expert understanding of static and dynamic analysis theories
- Strong work ethic, problem solving, and organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with DoD product development related to ground combat, marine, and aircraft platforms
- Analysis experience with composite materials
Experience using SolidWorks
