Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Systems Development Consultant (Guidewire) to join a large insurance organization in a full‑time, permanent capacity. This role is focused on delivering end‑to‑end solutions within the Guidewire ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on PolicyCenter. The successful candidate will act as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, customizing, and integrating Guidewire solutions that support complex insurance products, underwriting workflows, and enterprise system integrations.
On a day‑to‑day basis, this consultant will design and build scalable insurance functionality using a combination of Guidewire configuration, Gosu development, product modeling, workflows, and UI enhancements. They will extend and customize out‑of‑the‑box Guidewire capabilities to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements, while ensuring solutions align with Guidewire and enterprise best practices. The role involves performing technical analysis, producing design documentation, and defining program logic in close collaboration with Solution Architecture teams.
This individual will partner closely with Business, Architecture, QA, and DevSecOps teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure smooth delivery across the platform. They will play a leadership role in core Guidewire initiatives, including workflows, rating, integrations, and document generation, and will be trusted to own complex technical decisions across the insurance platform.
The consultant will also be responsible for identifying and remediating technical debt, improving system performance and stability, and contributing to long‑term platform health. A strong focus will be placed on integrating Guidewire applications with enterprise systems, internal services, cloud platforms, and third‑party providers using modern integration patterns such as REST and SOAP APIs, message queues, batch processes, and XML.
In addition, this role will contribute to release planning, code integration, branching strategies, and deployment activities, working closely with DevSecOps and Release Management teams. As a senior resource, this consultant will mentor and support team members, help elevate development standards, and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team environment.
This position is ideal for a seasoned Guidewire professional who enjoys owning complex solutions, influencing technical direction, and serving as a bridge between business needs and engineering execution.
