Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Drilling Geologist to support RC (reverse circulation) drilling operations through hands-on field execution and accurate data management. Responsibilities include logging drill chip samples into databases (Fusion or GeoSpark) at the end of each hole or shift, and managing sample collection at the RC rig, including organizing sample bags for upcoming holes. The role involves coordinating rig alignment for both day and night shift setups, conducting gyro surveys prior to rod removal, and pre-numbering sample bags using the RCSG_XXXXX_XX convention. You will perform QA/QC checks, including monitoring cyclone levels, verifying sample weights, and validating gyro data. Additionally, you will complete and maintain detailed shift records, including the RC Drill Hole Sample Log Sheet. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively across rotating shifts in a fast-paced field environment.

Required Skills & Experience
BSc Geology
2+ years RC drill program or exploration drill experience; geological logging and database entry proficiency
Registered in BC
Proven experience driving a truck in a mining environment
Need Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance
Okay with 14 days on / 14 days off schedule and travel ( fully expensed)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Active open pit mine experience and experience working in alpine/mountainous terrain
