Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Decatur, AL. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a vital role in the product lifecycle, ensuring designs are optimized for efficient and high quality production. This position partners closely with engineering and production teams to integrate manufacturability early in the design process, strengthen process reliability, and support ongoing improvements throughout production. The role is also responsible for developing and validating manufacturing processes, including ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with design teams to incorporate Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles into product development
• Apply advanced manufacturing expertise to improve production efficiency and product quality
• Lead and mentor junior manufacturing engineers, providing technical direction and support
• Serve as a subject matter expert in DFMA and statistical process control methodologies
• Coordinate material planning and resource allocation to ensure production timelines are achieved
• Support manufacturing workflow design, capacity planning, and forecasting activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges
• Lead process validation and product qualification efforts
Contribute to ERP (Epicor) implementation and continuous improvement of internal processes
Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• At minimum 6 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience in fabrication and assembly environments
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation
• Knowledge of material properties, in-process validation techniques, and proficiency in GD&T
