Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Assembly Technician for our client in Decatur, AL. The Assembly Technician supports engineering, manufacturing, and production teams in a hands on environment. This role is responsible for performing a variety of assembly and operational tasks that contribute to the successful build, testing, and delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical assembly tasks following verbal and written instructions, including fastening, bonding, and riveting components
• Support engineering testing activities and ongoing manufacturing operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete assigned work
• Utilize chemicals, adhesives, and solvents in accordance with safety procedures
• Track materials and job progress using ERP systems (Epicor) to meet production timelines
• Assist with test setup and execution as needed
• Prepare and package hardware and equipment for shipment
Follow established safety and security procedures and report any unsafe conditions

Pay Range: $25- $33hr

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience using basic hand and power tools with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• 2–5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including repetitive motion, standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting
Valid driver’s license
